Ahmed Elwakeel

Ahmed Elwakeel is a seasoned expert in the field of operational excellence and continuous improvement, with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He started his journey in 2010 with the largest multinational FMCG company, where he led the company's journey towards setting business goals and objectives, leadership development, and implementing lean manufacturing in Egypt. Ahmed's remarkable achievements include accomplishing continuous improvement process (TPM) Phase 0 in only 7 months, which was the first time in the company's history, and managing to achieve another remarkable achievement by getting the factory certified as Total Performance Management Reference Factory in 2014.
Ahmed's expertise in operational excellence continued to grow throughout the years, and he was eventually promoted to work with the Global Total Performance Management & Operational Excellence team at the company's headquarters in Switzerland. There, he developed a powerful tool to track the global estimated unplanned stoppages for total performance management lines and put in place the foundation for the quarterly and monthly global and market governance routines for the management team to ensure results sustainability.
Ahmed's experience in the industry continued to expand, and in 2017, he worked as the Regional Integrated Lean 6 Sigma Coach for Africa, where he was responsible for Chocolate, Biscuits, Gum & Candy Categories. He succeeded in certifying an important chocolate factory in Egypt to pass into Total Performance Management/ TPM Lean Six Sigma Maturity Stage 2. After that, Ahmed worked as the Regional TPM Manager for the Northeast Region with the largest water bottles producers in North America. He achieved outstanding results in accelerating the total performance management steps 1, 2, 3 & 4 rollout across the nations, which led to increasing the overall lines Asset Intensity and reducing the Unplanned Stoppages.
In 2021, Ahmed decided to leverage his strong experience and network to establish his own business as an Operational Excellence Consultant. He started with a wonderful startup working with the largest premium water producer in France to accelerate total performance management steps 1 and 2 on 4 business priority lines. Ahmed also took on a great consultation service agreement to implement 5s lean manufacturing in two factories in Croatia and Serbia with one of the largest multinational FMCG companies.
